Golden Valmiki

The Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Parkash Singh Badal dedicated Temple cum Panorama complex at Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal (Ram Tirath) at Amritsar. The golden statue of Bhagwan Valmiki was main attraction. Chief minister dedication to valmiki samaj before Assembly election has leave so many Question mark. Opposition is saying, this was done to attract valmiki samaj for votes.

However, Chief minister said that the state of art historical monument cum Temple with inbuilt Museum and Panorama at Sri Valmiki Tirath Sthal (Ram Tirath) was a humble tribute by the state government to Bhagwan Valmiki ji, who had preached the message of equality and universal brotherhood on this sacred land. He said that this unique project, which has come up at a cost of Rs 200 crore, would be instrumental in perpetuating the rich legacy of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji besides showcasing the teachings, life and philosophy of this great Spiritual ambassador. He said that the world class design of this temple cum museum has been conceived and prepared by the architects of Guru Nanak Dev University while keeping in mind the religious sanctity of this historic place. 

Recalling the superb contribution of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji in the cultural assimilation of society, the Chief Minister said that Bhagwan Valmiki Ji Maharaj was the “Pitaamah” of Sanskrit language and first poet or the Adi Kavi of the world who by his immortal and masterpiece composition the “Ramayana” propagated the message of victory of good over evil..

Its election time ...

Following the decision to provide fertilizers and other agriculture inputs in kind to the farmers for the sowing of Rabi crops, the farmers across the state have almost lifted 90 percent DAP from the Primary Cooperative Agriculture Societies (PCASs) worth Rs. 500 crore. One of the farmer said that this is due to election time. We havn't received this facilities in last 4 years, but due to coming election in Punjab, we are getting everything this year. Government should give these facilities all time to farmers.
A spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the state government, on the personal intervention of Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, this pro-farmer decision was taken after realizing the hardships faced by them after Reserve Bank of India’s directive not allowing the Cooperative Banks to accept deposits of the demonetized notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000.

In a major relief to the farmers of the border areas of the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today directed all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of the border districts to disburse the compensation to farmers having land across the fence within a week.

Cashless transactions in Punjab's Villages!

Keeping in view the demonetization derive at national level Punjab is going for cashless transactions in all villages too. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal directed all the bankers to mitigate the problems of populace and launch awareness campaign in the villages to educate the people for using e-payments through various modes including e-wallets, mobile banking and PoS terminals for cashless transactions. In a review meeting with senior officers and deputy commissioners regarding execution of various development works and welfare schemes here today Mr Badal categorically asked the senior officials of SBI bank to appoint banking correspondents at village level with PoS terminals and make available micro ATMs to facilitate the people in banking transactions and e-payments. He also asked the additional chief secretary finance DP Reddy to draft a plan regarding provisioning of debit cards and credit cards to all the account holders besides ensuring availability of PoS terminals at all shops and micro ATMs in each village by the banks. But Question is, uneducated villagers could able to do transactions of e-banking?

Punjab celebrating

On 30th Nov 2016, Whole Punjab is celebrating marriage ceremony of there son and cricketer Yuvraj Singh alias yuvi with Hazel Keech.
